July 4th Weekend (Part 2)

July 4th, 2015- Saturday

Second day of camping: Jill and Sandy are the early birds, they woke up around 7am to go cycling, fishing, as well as saving us the perfect spot at the beach. (by then, the beach was already packed with people).

Sandy caught a fish some time after this picture was taken. Look at how tireless they are! I hope I have half of their energy for my age now.

Bree and I are the second batch after Jill and Sandy. Us looking fresh after morning shower

Then it was time to make some bacon and eggs for breakfast! Team Cooking- Bree & I

Thought I could use some of my Girl Scout's skills, but couldn't even start the fire. lol

Sandwich: fried egg, bacon and guacamole  it's so yum!!! LOVE IT
Unemployment kinda brush up my cooking skills. I do enjoy cooking, just hate washing up.
Honestly, it was fun making breakfast over the fire- at least I enjoyed doing it.
Making a special kind of sandwich "egg in a nest" for Royston, such a lucky friend. lol

Collins's nutritious and healthy blueberry pancake.
Yes, they have blender and all the ingredients. I would use [Go hard or go home] & [The sky is the limit] to describe this pancake making experience - I never would have thought of bringing a blender and all ingredients to make pancake during camping. I think this is the difference between westerners and Asians (well, just from my point of view). Camping to me means canned food, cooking something simple, or don't even cook at all. This, really impressed me.

It was time to head to the beach. Same routine, putting on layers and layers of sunscreen, big hat, sunglasses. Played some volleyball again, lost terribly -->head crazy rabbitSo I decided to practice a little with the Malaysians, well at least I can serve, a little better. It was nice to have Kelly & Claire both bubbly one to join the team; winning or losing points, they will always smile and clap. Such motivators!

Short break! Ice-cream time. Present to you the 50 cents popsicles!
Please excuse Royston's sexiness. 18SX. Enjoy at your own risk

Went to basketball court to watch some performance.

Girls on the floor: "Oh Sun you are so hot we are melting, oh Sun...noo....nooooo"
The girl on the right: "Oh Mr.Sun please shine down on me like you mean it...YASSSSS"

I cropped the others out because I think this girl is cute. Great smile :)
Oh no I'm not bisexual I just enjoy checking girls out

Life guards, nice top.

Ain't she cute? That tiny american flag bikinidance girl 2 smiley

Just random pig statue at the canteen.

Back to our designated spot for some tan. Yes, I was under peer pressure to go for sun tan. It wasn't that bad actually, because I can still cover myself up with that big hat, beach towel and enjoy my wine & lunch. fiesta smiley

10 pcs of nuggets & fries for $4
Salad with guacamole and
my wine in the water bottle!

Been hanging out with this lady here since April. Cheers to many more!

Bringing frisbee game to a whole new level- try to hit the pole and catch the bottle when it falls. Something like that. I have no idea actually

The "we are eating hot dog and enjoying beer" pose.
Meet Bryan & Megan who are kind enough to tag along with me,
and Claire, Lisa & Kelly at the back.

Went on the Malaysians adventure: our first time rowing the boat

Was trying to poke either Royston or KK in this picture while they are concentrating rowing the boat. Thanks to Royston with his "hey she is posing number 1, I should do 2 and you 3".
I really did row the boat, for that 10 minutes and realized that the boat is going no where and I gave up. lol. Let the men do the job.

When they decided to stop going further and sell me away or trade me with the fish

Old school kind of selfie- taking picture from the top and it's ok for the head to look big, because the key here is to make your legs look slim. Get it?

Apple pie is a must for 4th of July.

From across the bank, heard some noise. *camera zoom in to the max* Spotted: Kids chasing geese.

After setting up tents, rowing boat, hot dog & beer session....it was time to head back to the beach for the fireworks show.

Cute couple- Alex & Lauren

An overview of Sunset Bay camp site, and newly met friends.

The sun goes down, the stars come out, and all that counts is here and now. -Glad You Came-

While waiting for the fireworks.......

1. Picture taking
Americans, minus one. lol
2. Popsicles frenzy
I'm just planning ahead- I know the store is closing, and I really want to have 2 popsicles. So I bought em' and enjoy both at the same time.
Wait, you have not tried eating 2 ice-creams at the same time? YOU HAVE TO, at least once!

3. Make new friend

Man on my right: I'm the second
Me: second? Second what?
Man on my right: I'm the Vice President of this club.
Me: Oh.....*awkward smile*

And his name is Bud :)

8:57pm
Fireworks! :) after 348759837472 shots, these are the one that look pretty decent

Then the fireworks stopped, the flag lighted up right across the "beach".

Couldn't capture it properly, meh.
Part of the grand finale that got our heartbeats raced
camp fire smiley

It's quite calming to just stare at the bonfire, and do nothing.

I'm deadly attracted to you, like a moth to a flame -black apple-

Lisa, the mermaid with her marshmallows
Her friends say that she looks like Isabelle Fuhrman from the movie Orphan. I think she does looks a little like her, what do you think?

Ghost stories, 2 truth 1 lie, Never Have I Ever.....the night ends with laughter and satisfaction. Off to bed at 2am.

I must have flowers, always and always -Spring baby's wish when she was born
(cough cough, yes it's me)

When will my reflection show, who I am inside? -Reflection-

Stick to the the path you've chosen, even though it means to be alone.
As long as you find joy and passion in it, you will shine before others. -black apple-

To my babu,
I am not lost when I have you here with me; through thick and thin, through sadness and happiness. -black apple-

To my babu, this picture says it all.
Even you're not here with me to watch the fireworks, I know we would have a lot of firework moments down the road cause baby, there ain't giving up and I won't let you go.
Lyrics from Shower -Betty G-

There's no success without hard work and pain, because even firework has to burn itself to be this spectacular.
-black apple-

This marks my second camping trip in the States and I would love to do it again! Who's with me?
