After a 3-year gap, I went back to NYC. This time, with my familia and relatives
May 15, 2015
First stop- Times Square! -it's a must
Entertainment of the day was Revlon Love is On campaign |
That took up most of our time- I still could not believe we actually preferred standing there and try to fit into the heart shape to get feature than exploring around |
After countless time, finally I was on the screen |
Familia |
First time at Grand Central Terminal- where Serena was spotted in Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 1
(yes yes scratch off from the bucket list)
It was prom season....wonder who was the lucky one? |
This view <3 |
#ootd |
Pizzas in NYC look super seductive and I did had a bite from couz and it was AH-MAY-ZING....and worker photobombed my picture again lol |
Somewhere in NYC |
#BlackAppleinBigApple |
Due to the limited number of driver hours of service per day, we have to head back to the hotel after spending 2 hours at 7th Avenue.
Dinner at H-mart food court, Edison NJ.
Korean food for the night- dukbokki by Yimat House & Fried chicken by Kono Chicken
Rice cake is a big disappointment, too little sauce and taste wasn't as satisfying as Ahjoomah's Apron. Waited quite awhile for the fried chicken. I would definitely 100% prefer Crisp |
Hotel Woodbridge @ Metro Park NJ for next 2 nights
Me enjoying rose bath, bouquet from Mother's Day |

Today is outlet mall day- Woodbury Common Premium Outlet *screammmm* but wait, NYC has the highest tax of all, reaching almost 9%. However, all the merchandises that I have purchased have only 4.125% tax (not sure why). But oh well, Happy Shopping Shopping Happy!
11am- early birds! |
I like how the men booked some seats at Starbucks and were there for the entire day; and how the ladies parked their trophies all over the floor, table and seats.
Greedy me with both cold and hot drinks- lunch. |
The sky started to get gloomy, it was 5pm and we got to go! As usual, shopping at outlet mall means "a calorie burning activity that requires strategic planning in order to obtain as many goods as possible in a given period of time; and it is never enough for the ladies".
Dinner at Hong Kong Garden, Chinese would never get bored of Chinese food.
Reminds me of Malaysian-Chinese cuisine (Right: Left)- Tofu stuffed with meat, watercress with garlic, tofu, broccoli with Chinese sausage, clay pot eggplant and sizzling beef with broccoli |
June 17, 2015
10 days of american breakfast, with the same thing on the menu every time- some choices of bread, hash brown potatoes, sausages, scramble eggs, cereal, milk, coffee and tea. At the end of the day, you just eat because you got to eat.
Thank God I love bread. |
Tourist attractions kind of day!
Try to arrange your itinerary by moving from the South and head towards the North.
First stop: Statue of Liberty
(yes yes scratch off from the bucket list)
Boarding from Battery Park. Ticket included Ferris ride to Liberty Island, Ellis Island and back to Battery Park |
Random shot |
Ever wonder why is Statue of Liberty green in color?
Copper + oxidation + 30 years = green Statue of Liberty |
Liberty Enlightening the World |
Picture with the lady. Props prepared by aunts and hello daddy. |
Strongly recommend to take some time to visit Liberty Island- one of the NYC icon yo!
cruise come by every 20 minutes |
Then second stop: Ellis Island
View of Ellis Island - Immigration Museum |
Nop, the ladies decided to save the time for shopping than going down to tour at Ellis Island |
American Dream, freedom, concrete jungle |
NYC Skyline, skyscrapers. |
The Immigrants sculpture |
The worst churros I've ever tasted in my entire life -.- |
blocks and blocks, somewhere in NYC |
No line, people are impatient. Basically you are sharing a picture with a stranger. Me? Selfie stick at its best! teehee! |
Well at least people are more civilized for the Charging Bull's backside. |
En route towards Wall Street- Trinity Church |
Broadway X Wall Street |
New York Stock Exchange |
I enjoy taking candid pictures of others. Look at the amount of people in front of Federal Hall with George Washington statue. Fact: place where Bill of Rights was written |
One World Trade Center |
9/11 tribune center |
Ground Zero. Not sure was it the chlorine that irritates the throats? Cough... |
Congee Bowery Restaurant at Chinatown- MY FAVORITE CHINESE FOOD IN THIS ENTIRE TRIP!! It taste so Hong Kong-ish and reminds me of Malaysia and THEY JUST TASTE BRAVOOOO |
After lunch, the group was divided into two: one to 5th Avenue to do some shopping and the other to Central Park. I chose Central Park, always love this place. Love it more after watching Enchanted.
Strawberry Fields- John Lennon's memorial- Imagine, never gets old |
BUBBLEEEEEEEE |
Pictures by Casio Exilim EX-TR35 from here on.
the fairyland on earth, in the middle of Big Apple |
some street show going on |
"You play violin and I will dance, together we're the perfect pair" |
extremely calming, isn't it? |
mystery tunnel and a guy who was taking selfie. |
Reflection |
another Wonderland |
Skyscrapers, road side food stalls, yellow cabs- common things |
At FAO Schwarz. I do feel soft toys are a waste of money, but some of them are too cute. Just a hug and I promise I will not whine. |
Dinner at Sapporo with the family before they fly to the other side of the globe |
Familia. Missing the other 2, 3, 4, 5. |
There goes my NYC trip. Off to Delaware to visit my Abby Bie Bie.
